Community Mercy Health Partners announce downtown
as the site for medical campus

Annual Meeting in Downtown SpringfieldAugust 26, 2005– It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Community Mercy Health Partners (CMHP) has announced that Downtown Springfield will be the site for the development of their new medical campus. This is a tremendous announcement that will accelerate revitalization efforts and serve as a watershed moment for the downtown. We are certainly thankful that the leadership of the hospital has found the confidence in the downtown and I am certain that they will look back at this announcement years from now as one of the best decisions they have ever made!

The Center City Association would like to acknowledge the efforts of the City of Springfield, Community Mercy Health Partners, Hospital Downtown Coalition, Partners in Progress, all of our Local, State and Federal elected officials, particularly Congressman Dave Hobson as his support and guidance has been, and continues to be, invaluable.

We want to thank all of those who have remained truly committed to a downtown location throughout the process. Without your support, I do not believe I would have been able to share this very exciting news with you. Once again, thank you for everything! This is truly a great day for Downtown Springfield!!!!!!

Kindest Regards!

Craig E. Dillon
President, Board of Director's
